Triplex is a relatively unknown company to most here in New Zealand, so I was quite surprised to hear that they have been in operation since 1991 producing sound & graphics cards. Apparently they proved popular in Taiwan, but didn't make it much further. Just recently they decided to take on the big boys and signed up to produce both the GeForce and Xabre line of graphics cards. Rather than blend in with everyone else, they decided to try and distinguish themselves from the numerous other start-up manufacturers and have come up with the aptly named Millennium Silver product line - you'll soon see why.

The Triplex Millennium Silver GeForce 4 Ti4600 is based on Nvidia's current top end chipset which pretty much spanks everything else in the market at the moment. If you need a refresher on the GeForce 4 chipset I suggest you head over here or here and do some reading.

What's in the Box

Packaging is one of those areas, as I mentioned earlier, where Triplex is trying to break away from all their cardboard competitors. Don't even try to argue that you wouldn't notice while browsing, it certainly has the pulling factor and is pretty impressive looking first hand.

Once you pop open the brief case, you'll be presented with the following:

    • Triplex Millennium Silver GeForce 4 Ti4600
    • User Manual
    • Triplex CD (with drivers & utilities)
    • PowerDirector 2.0
    • PowerDVD XP 4.0
    • S-Video Cable & Y Splitter Cable
